Eric Burger

I have dedicated this site to shameless self promotion and trombone playing.

So I would hope you might have an interest in either, though if you do there may be no accounting for taste...Just so you'd know.

So why all this Hype??

Well, it's like this: I am a active duty US Army trombone player that found himself in Oklahoma.

If you didn't know, Oklahoma is not one of the true gig heavens in the world. I have an amazing opportunity to play in over 23 countries, and have played with some amazing bands. You never know what is in store for you down the line, but I am working on my bass playing again, and may try to find a good country gig.

I play an Olds Super from 1945, and a Bach 42G from 1973.

I am currently directing the 77th US Army Big Band and Rock Band at Ft. Sill, and am rather active in arranging.

Lookin' for the next gig...

I am back to doing what most American Trombone players are doing:

Praying for the next gig...

Olds Trombones!
I play exclusively Olds Trombones. Only the finest trombones made by man, and very revolutionary designs. Not content to go with standard plumbing tubes (.500, .525, .547) they developed a dual bore system that has since been copied by most manufactures. They were the first to make drawn slide tubes, and their heavy white brass outer slides stay so true, that I am playing mostly 40 and 50 year old horns with NO slide wear!!!! Olds has recently been reborn, and I am anxious to find out if the tradition lives!
